National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA)

The National Adult Literacy Agency is an independent charity committed to making sure people with literacy and numeracy difficulties can fully take part in society and have access to learning opportunities that meet their needs. NALA assisted the Central Statistics Office (CSO) in developing and promoting the “Step-by-Step Guide to Filling in the Census 2022 Form”.

National Council for the Blind in Ireland

National Council for the Blind Ireland is the national sight loss agency, a not-for-profit charitable organisation. It provides support and services nationwide to people experiencing difficulty with their eyesight. NCBI advised and assisted CSO in the development of Braille (available soon) and large print versions of the Census 2022 form (PDF).

Pavee Point Traveller and Roma Centre

Pavee Point is an Irish non-governmental national organisation, committed to human rights for Irish Travellers and Roma. The group consists of Travellers, Roma and members of the settled community working together in partnership to address the needs of Travellers and Roma as minority ethnic groups. Pavee Point worked in partnership with CSO to advise and assist in raising awareness of the census among Travellers and Roma, including the production of a DVD and leaflets for both communities. Visit the Pavee Point Census page.

Family Carers Ireland

Family Carers Ireland is the national charity supporting family carers across the country who care for loved ones such as children or adults with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail older people, those with palliative care needs or those living with chronic illnesses, mental ill-health or addiction. The CSO and Family Carers Ireland have worked together to produce a poster and leaflet providing advice and information for carers on Census 2022.
